The first week sets the tone for years together, and the owners who get it right do a handful of small things in the right order. This is your complete day-by-day: from box cutter to, well, everything after.

Day 1: the unboxing (don't rush this part)
- Move the box to the bedroom before opening. A packed doll is heavier and more awkward than the same doll in your arms — a 158cm girl means a 30–40kg box.
